At the end of the year, Kateryna Odarchenko, Chair of the Institute of Democracy and Development POLITA, participated in a Baltic Caucus event at the U.S. Congress, where a constructive and forward-looking discussion took place with Congressman Herb Conaway, MD.

The meeting highlighted strong bipartisan support in Congress for NATO, the Baltic Security Initiative, and Ukraine’s security and democratic resilience. Participants reaffirmed the importance of a united transatlantic approach to addressing current and emerging global security challenges.

The event once again demonstrated that key members of the U.S. Congress remain firmly committed to strengthening the NATO alliance, ensuring security in the Baltic region, and supporting Ukraine’s role within the global security architecture.

According to Kateryna Odarchenko, such engagements are essential, as evidence-based research and high-quality policy analysis empower policymakers to make informed decisions that contribute to global peace, democratic stability, and international security.

The dialogue was constructive and future-oriented, reinforcing a shared commitment to transatlantic security, democratic values, and collective defense.
