Kateryna Odarchenko, political communications expert and president of the Institute for Democracy and Development “PolitA,” has published a new analytical article on the Atlantic Council’s UkraineAlert platform.

In the article, “Ukraine’s Military Success Is Exposing the Myth of Inevitable Russian Victory,” Odarchenko examines how recent Ukrainian battlefield achievements are reshaping global perceptions of the war and undermining one of the Kremlin’s most persistent narratives.

The analysis highlights that the notion of Russia’s “inevitable victory” has been actively promoted as part of the Kremlin’s disinformation strategy aimed at weakening Ukraine’s resistance and reducing international support. However, Ukraine’s military performance demonstrates the opposite — the ability not only to resist aggression but to systematically degrade Russian capabilities.

Odarchenko emphasizes that dismantling this myth is crucial for sustaining international support for Ukraine. Confidence in Ukraine’s potential for victory directly influences political decisions regarding military aid, financial assistance, and long-term strategic partnerships.

The article also addresses the role of information warfare in shaping public opinion in Western countries. Despite ongoing Russian propaganda efforts, Ukraine’s successes are gradually shifting the narrative in favor of democratic resilience and strategic endurance.

This publication contributes to the broader international discussion on Ukraine’s defense, strategic communications, and the future of European security.
