On the occasion of the Republic of Slovenia’s National Day, Kateryna Odarchenko participated in a high-level diplomatic reception hosted at the Embassy of Slovenia in Washington, D.C., by Ambassador Iztok Mirosic, Mrs. Tina Kokalj, and Brigadier General Marija Medja, the Slovenian Defense Attaché.

Representing the global Jewish community and engaged in transatlantic dialogue, Kateryna held a series of strategic discussions on international advocacy, regional security, and economic cooperation between Europe and the United States.

A key moment of the evening was her conversation with Congressman Paul Gosar, whose Slovenian roots and principled foreign policy make him a committed ally to Eastern European nations. Together, they explored practical pathways for Ukraine–U.S. cooperation in confronting Russian aggression and sustaining international support for Ukraine.

“Don’t stop showing the world what’s really happening in Ukraine. Reports and analysis are important — but nothing replaces the human story. Let people see the truth,” said Congressman Gosar during the discussion.

Kateryna Odarchenko echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the need to amplify human-centered narratives from Ukraine and mobilize democratic nations in defense of freedom and sovereignty.

This diplomatic gathering not only highlighted Slovenia’s role in fostering international cooperation but also reinforced the importance of continued advocacy for Ukraine amid global geopolitical challenges.
